The
Woolmark Company announces Fashion Scout alumni Fyodor Golan, Phoebe
English and Agi & Sam are nominated for International Woolmark Prize
(IWP).
Established
in the 1950's as part of the International Wool Secretariat, early
winners of the coveted prize include Yves Saint Laurent and Karl
Lagerfeld. Today the competition, which holds finals across The
British Isles, Shanghai, Sydney, Antwerp, Dubai and New York, sees
its semi-finalist picking up an impressive AU$50,000 donation towards
their new collection, in addition to an invitation to the finals in
Florence (Menswear) and New York (Womenswear).
When
the winner is announced later in the year, they will receive an
enviable AU$100,000 to aid in marketing and fabric sourcing,
in addition to distribution at London's regarded Harvey Nichols department store.
Good
luck to all Fashion Scout alumni!
