NEWS| Fashion Scout SS15 Model Casting

Yesterday, models took over the Freemasons' Hall ahead of our catwalk schedule for Fashion Scout’s SS15 Model Casting. Attended by our Fashion Scout designers, including this season's Merit Award winner Gyo Yuni Kimchoe, and Ones To Watch winners Cassandra Verity Green, Keiko Nishiyama, Min Wu and Youjia Jin, as well as stylist Rebekah Roy, it certainly set the scene for this coming Friday. 

Throughout the day Snog, Vita Coco and Propercorn were on hand to keep the models happy and refreshed. Snog, Vita Coco and Propercorn will all be on site for plenty of shows at Fashion Scout’s Freemasons Hall to share with designers, models and guests.

NEWS| Apu Jan, Lulu Liu and Ong-Oaj Pairam Confirmed for Fashion Scout SS15

We're pleased to announce that designers Apu Jan, Lulu Liu and Ong-Oaj Pairam will be returning to Fashion Scout to showcase during our SS15 season.

Regulars to the catwalk at our Freemasons Hall venue, all three designers showcased their AW14 pieces last season:

"Setting the scene for Apu Jan’s ‘Turbulence’ AW14 show, a bass guitarist, violinist and DJ churned out live, dark, heady beats. Following on from last season, Apu Jan sought inspiration from nature once more, as well as the frantic hustle of modern society. Known for his bespoke knitting technique, Jan upped the stakes this season combining super-fine and extra chunky knits, creating both sleek and voluminous silhouettes." "Opening sounds of moody storms set the atmosphere for this eclectic show. Inspired by the last Empress of China, Cixi, Liu’s collection embodied the regal spirit of one of China’s most influential women. Strong, powerful, feminine and fashionable, Cixi personifies the woman Liu has in mind with her creations. Embracing the rich history of her homeland, Lulu incorporated the Chinese royal colours of gold, blue, green and red to her designs." "Ong-Oaj Pairam opened his Fashion Scout show with a blast of vibrant jewel tones and intricately detailed patterning that looked nothing short of sensational. His signature 1950s style is ever-present in his AW14 collection which combines printed dresses and tailored trouser suits with vibrantly coloured patent and leather bomber jackets." EXCLUSIVE: SS15 Applications Opening Soon

We're pleased to announce that applications for the SS15 season will be opening very soon.

Following the success of our AW14 showcase earlier in the year, which included over 20 catwalk shows and immersive presentations in our Freemasons Hall venue from our Merit Award winner Xiao Li, Ones to Watch winners Carrie-Ann Stein, George Styler, Hiroko Nakajima and Sarah Ryan as well as other Fashion Scout designers, the season was certainly a memorable one. 

Attracting impressive media, industry and buyer attention season after season with their impressive displays of design, we're looking forward to seeing what designers will introduce to the industry this season.

ANNOUNCEMENT| Fashion Scout Announce Provisional Schedule for Feb13

Fashion Scout is thrilled to release our provisional Schedule for our Feb'13 catwalk showcase. Fresh from rebranding as a global platform to showcase the very best of British and international creative talent, over 30 catwalk shows, presentations, installations and exhibitions will take place throughout the week. 

This season will see critically acclaimed young Chinese designer Yifang Wan return to Fashion Scout for a second season, this time to take the inaugural stage as the internationally acclaimed Merit Award winner for A/W13. Directly after, our newly announced and eagerly anticipated Ones To Watch award winners - Patrick Li, Yeashin and Yulia Kondranina - will showcase their designs to a global stage.  

For the first time, established emerging talent platform, Kiev Fashion Days will present a curated selection of new designers from the Ukraine in a collective catwalk showcase and exhibition in partnership with Fashion Scout.  Whilst a catwalk showcase of new designers from Istanbul will also take place throughout the week.

Returning names to the Fashion Scout stage include former Merit Award winners Phoebe English and Heohwan Simulation, former OTW winners Ming Pin Tien and Nova Chiu as well as iconic established designer Pam Hogg. 

Fashion Scout's showcase will take place 15th-19th February 2013 at our catwalk home, Freemasons Hall, Covent Garden. The fourteenth season of Fashion Scout, as founded by Martyn Roberts, will be the first season since our global rebrand.

Vauxhall Fashion Scout S/S13 at Freemason’s Hall has officially begun, and we are hitting the ground running with a full line-up of shows and presentations taking place throughout the day; from our much anticipated ‘Graduate Showcase’, to the prestigious Merit Award  show. To help you plan your first day of Fashion Week with Vauxhall Fashion Scout, here is our schedule for the day:

EXCLUSIVE| Model Casting at Vauxhall Fashion Scout for SS13 Catwalk Shows

With only one day to go until the launch of London Fashion Week, the all-important model casting for Vauxhall Fashion Scout SS13 took place today at our location, Freemason’s Hall; accompanied by our sponsors SNOG Frozen Yoghurt, who supplied everyone with delicious refreshments throughout the day.

From the moment the doors were opened our designers were spoilt for choice; as a sea of beautiful girls filtered into the building to demonstrate their proficiency in the all-important “catwalk walk”. 

Vauxhall Fashion Scout spoke to the wonderful Rebekah Roy, stylist and mentor to the Ones-To-Watch designers, about their vision for the models they were hoping to cast;

“Because we have got four designers, we have to have a shared vision.  We have been looking for girls who have longer hair, are clean-faced and a nice height; in a sense, quite typical.   All the designers have really wonderful visions, but they are also open to growing and developing: we have some clear guidelines of what we’re looking for, but then sometimes you might see someone unusual who may change the casting for you.”
