Vauxhall Fashion Scout designer, Manuela Dack has been interviewed by The Shop Bluebird. The prestigious Kings Road store, which is one of Manuela's stockists, talks with the designer about working with Alexander Wang, inspirations for her brand and the future of the label. 

Back in March, during her time showcasing her collection at VFS's Paris Showroom, Paul Baptiste, head buyer of Bluebird told The Independent that, "we have seen an amazing response to Manuela Dack who is popular with clients looking for innovative statement pieces". No wonder the store was keen to catch up with the designer!

NEWS| Hermione de Paula blogs about the British Design Collective for Liberty London

First, Vauxhall Fashion Scout alumni Hermione de Paula gave us an insight to her time at the British Design Collective on this blog (here), now she has guest blogged about it for Liberty London.

Former Merit Award Winner Hermione de Paula has become renowned for her feminine, hand-painted prints and embroideries since her label launched in 2008. The designer has been stocked in Liberty London for three seasons and remains a firm favourite of the store.

LONDON| Vauxhall Fashion Scout Alumni Hermione De Paula talks exclusively to VFS about her time with the BFC British Designers Collective

The British Fashion Council have been very busy since London Fashion Week, with London Showroom's dotted across the world- Paris, LA, New York and most recently Oxfordshire, with the BFC British Designers Collective. 

A collection of emerging and established British Design Talent came together in one place to celebrate British Design and the wondrous talent that our home-grown designers can offer the industry, headed up by new BFC Ambassador Alexa Chung.

Designers that were featured include Jonathon Saunders, Marias Schwab and Holly Fulton as well as Vauxhall Fashion Scout Alumni Peter Pilotto and Hermione De Paula. We caught up with Hermione on her experience as part of the British Fashion Council initiative:

"The British Designers Collective in partnership with the BFC and Bicester is an wonderful retail incentive - and I am honour to be considered among such incredible London design talent, many of whom alongside myself have shared such valuable mentorship from the CFE. It's also exciting to introduce my label to a new market in this way. The store looks fabulous and had a really quirky London feel - I particularly loved the grass covered shop front and enormous porcelain dogs!"

DESIGNERS| BFC presents British Designers Collective with Vauxhall Fashion Scout Alumni

Today see's The British Designer Collective head over to Bicester Village, with newly appointed Ambassador Alexa Chung at the helm. 

Up-and-coming designers will sit amongst established brands in 'The Great Hall'- a wondrous cavern of classic heritage and style contrasted with the beautiful blend of wit and sophistication that comes with contemporary British designers. 

The pop-up boutique is in it's third year at Bicester Village- one of the 'Chic Outlet Shopping' centre's, but this time brings with it a dedicated Menswear section, which will launch on 16th May.

Vauxhall Fashion Scout Alumni designers Hermione De Paula and Peter Pilotto are both there, along with BFC favourites Jonathon Saunders, Marias Schwab and Holly Fulton who have each been parts of the British Fashion Council London Showrooms in either London, Paris, LA or New York.
