ANNOUNCEMENT| Countdown until Fashion Scout Kiev SS14

Less than five days away, the countdown has officially begun for Fashion Scout Kiev! This is the second time that Fashion Scout has partnered with Mercedes-Benz Kiev Fashion Days in Ukraine and we are thrilled to present the schedule for SS14. 

A selection of designers from Eastern Europe are showcasing as part of Fashion Scout Kiev, which takes place during Mercedes-Benz Kiev Fashion Days, Friday 18th-Sunday 20th October at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Place, Moskovsky Avenue 22. In addition to the catwalk shows and presentations, Fashion Scout Co-Founder and Director Martyn Roberts will be taking part in a range of mentoring sessions and lectures, passing on his experience and guidance to emerging international designers and press. 

Following our international rebrand earlier this year, our partnership with Kiev Fashion Days illustrates our global influence. Kiev is the third city where our designer initiative is present, following from London and Paris.

Fashion Scout are pleased to take to Paris, three new talents from Kiev Fashion Days, allowing them to showcase their designs to an international buying and media market. Fashion Scout's partnership with Mercedes-Benz Kiev Fashion Days saw the showcasing of nine Ukrainian designers at Fashion Scout - with four designers presenting their collections on the catwalk. The showcase launches the best in Ukrainian fashion giving these international designers a creative platform through Fashion Scout. 

Fashion Scout London Exhibition Designer as well as Kiev Fashion Days designer Anna October will be presenting her feminine line, comprised of strong A-line shapes with nipped waists at Fashion Scout Paris. The collection, which was met with rave reviews on the catwalk at Kiev Fashion Days and at our London exhibition, were accentuated with vertical, horizontal and asymmetrical metallic stripes. View Fashion Scout's interview with Anna October at the Kiev Fashion Days Exibition here or alternatively at our Fashion Scout London Exhibition here.

The third designer to be joining Fashion Scout Paris from Kiev Fashion Days is Natasha Zinko.  After showcasing her designs at Fashion Scout London as part of the Kiev Fashion Days Exhibition, Natasha's aviary inspired collection expressed her love to showcase with Fashion Scout again, view the full interview with Natasha Zinko here.

NEWS| Lako Bukia featured on Vogue Italia

Vogue Italia has featured Vauxhall Fashion Scout designer Lako Bukia following the Kiev Fashion Days. The Ukrainian Fashion Week took place between March 22nd - 25th and Vogue Italia has praised the "deceptive effect created with different, deliberately contrasting fabrics and a colour palette limited to black and silver".

The LCF graduate wowed crowds when she showed her AW12 line at VFS's Freemason's Hall in February with her geometric and futuristic inspired collection. Judging by the Vogue Italia article, her appeal is transatlantic. Read the review of the collection on Vogue Italia's website here. 

Lako Bukia was also interviewed for Kiev Fashion Week's site and was described as 'one of the most promising designers in London'.
