Former Ones To Watch designer Ming Pin Tien prepares for his
“Bye Bye Youth” Feb ’13 collection backstage at Fashion Scout which will
explore themes of uniform and youth with a use of materials that experiments
with texture and colour in new ways from his previous work. He takes a softer
approach with this new collection that will be matched with the hair styling
created by the team at TONI&GUY.
Speaking with a member of the TONI&GUY session team
before the anticipated show she talks about the looks saying “We’re doing something that is up, like a
ponytail but we’re making it a little bit different with the fringe that will
fit with a hat as well” creating a look that is a youthful spin on a
classic up do in keeping with Ming Pin Tien’s Feb ’13 aesthetic.
Hair is up in a sleek and sophisticated way, soft natural
hair is swept up in a twist that allows a smooth fringe for a youthful touch to
an otherwise mundane look.
Ming Pin Tien showcased his collection last season as part
of Fashion Scout’s Ones To Watch catwalk show and returns this season with a
show of his own stronger than ever.
