Art & Makeup: The Show

Last night Fashion Scout opened Fashion week with its first show of the Spring Summer season, and what a show it was! The guests witnessed the coming together of arts; makeup, hair, dance, literature and fashion design, all merged in celebration of Lan Ngyuyen-Grealis’ new book; 'Art & Makeup'. Lan is an award winning makeup artist, and now published author. She is also currently holding the role of beauty editor for Pheonix magazine, where she promotes the best new talent throughout London Fashion Week.

The catwalk consisted of extravagant pieces of mainly black and gold, with a constant presence of glitter, sequins and elaborate head peices. Every look was presented as a piece of art- no bare skin was left untouched: a feast for the eyes, and what feast would be complete without a banquet? Couture cakes provided by Debbie Wingham, creator of the most luxurious cake in the world. All senses were treated; an experience rather than a fashion show.

Guests ranged from the stars of Made in Chelsea to Betty Bachz. Paloma Faith shared her thoughts with Fashion Scout post-show: “I always work with Lan, she is my number one choice. I think she is more than a makeup artist, she is an Artist. So many people don’t push the boundaries like she does."

We cant wait to see what Lan does next. Roll on the rest of London Fashion Week SS16.

Fashion Scout for London Fashion week runs from 18th - 22nd September 2015 at the Freemasons' Hall, WC2B 5AZ.
