Soojin
Lee , the South Korean designer who’s worked with famous designers
such as Alexander McQueen , Hussein Chalayan and Emilio De La Morena.
Last years autumn/winter collection consisted of blues and denim.
However this year the Central Saints Martins graduate went for for a
completely different approach.
The
show started with several coats embossed with camouflaged print. This
gave the collection a nostalgic but contemporary feel. The palette of
the collection consisted of browns , burgundy , orange. Outfits ideal
for a soldiers wife during the war. The green military style coats
were very formal with matching bottoms dresses that had a casual and
relaxed fit. Whereas the evening wear consisted of loads of patterns
, pleats and folds.
She
incorporated all the prints in certain evening dresses which made
colours stand out. Many of the dresses in the collection were made of
silk which draped effortlessly on the silhouette. The floral dresses
seemed to be the perfect spring to autumn transition pieces.
