COLLECTION| Krystof Strozyna AW12

Krystof Strozyna was the second show at Freemason’s Hall today, and the atmosphere was electric. It may have been something to do with the rollcall of celebrities front row, which included Susie Lau, Amelle Berrabah and Jay Camilleri, or the fact that Krystof has become a designer that people truly love and who’s collections they’re excited to see, season after season. This time round, he definitely didn’t disappoint.
With a base palette of jet blacks combined with nude tones, blush touches and dove grey accents, cut straight through the middle by an intense true blue, Krystof’s A/W collection is feminine and sensual. Hair was slicked away from the face, but softly, equating in naturally bouncy hair which looked delicious alongside his pieces. Make-up was gorgeous, gilded and smoky bronze, with dewy skin and strong eyes. To put it simply, it was nothing short of gorgeous.
The silhouettes were figure hugging, and forget thigh high- his splits on skirts and dresses were sky high, however they only added to the sheer beauty of the collection. Injecting a little edge into his collection, exposed zips were found on his dresses and shirts, as well as contrasting fabrics and textures to create interest in his design. Experimenting with cut out panels and square necklines, it is clear that Krystof isn’t afraid to take risks, and because of this, continually produces collections everyone will fall in love with, time and time again.
