The Prose models walked with crimson lips, strong brows, and Mohawk manes- ruffled and layered to give volume and depth. A autumnal palette- head-to-toe- with the rich yellow and blue accents. The sculptural draping effect was present in the velvet gathered trousers and the waistbands of full length
tufted skirts, as well as on the one shoulder draping of the oak printed dresses tied with wide, leather belts.
Natural references were present throughout the pheasant-like feathers
displayed over the shoulders and back but with a rigid and synthetic feel,
playing with the boundaries of our observations and giving an artistic edge.
Numerous rectangular woven and reflective
patches in blacks and browns were sported on key pieces including trousers and
skirt panels. Woolen jumpers were teamed with mesh and cotton. Light denim
jackets with cut out arms and central panels which were mixed with tufting threaded designs in deep blues. Miriam is renowned for actively seeking to experiment with unusual materials, pairing the two to create
an innovative, but suprisingly wearable standpoint and this was clearly evident throughout the show. These tufting threads were also seen
accompanying a long length, simplistic and neutral coloured, full-length dress
as an over layer creating yet more depth to the outfits. There were even wisps
of voluminous shoulders and collars suggesting the hint of an eighties feel
integrated into her woodland resembling pieces.
