Exclusive interview with Fashion Monitor’s Hannah White.
“Fashion Monitor are a media hub for the fashion and
beauty industry. We list all of the
contacts for brands, PR, media, bloggers, freelancers; literally everybody
across the industry, as well as the events which are coming up, such as press
days and launches.
I think Vauxhall Fashion Scout is so important. Martyn is obviously involved with Graduate
Fashion Week now, which is just bringing students all the way from graduation
to designer level. The help and the
guidance Vauxhall Fashion Scout give them throughout the year, not just during
the shows, is incredible. It gives them
the business advice they need in order to make a commercial brand as well as
creative.
I’ve always worked very closely with marketing, so
working with Vauxhall Fashion Scout is just the perfect fit to allow us to
contact the international press who are coming down to see the emerging
designers. A big thing for us is our launch into the U.S this year, so creating
brand awareness for Fashion Monitor is obviously a very big thing for us.
At Vauxhall Fashion Scout, I have seen Ones To
Watch, and Bernard Chandran. I’m also
going to see Pam Hogg later today, which i’m really excited about! In Ones To Watch, I really liked Heohwan
Simulation. I also sent off a few tweets
about Nova Chiu as well; I thought the origami shapes were incredible.”
