Fashion Scout AW15 Paris Round-Up Interview

We caught up with Fashion Scout's Lauren Slater for the low down on Fashion Scout Paris AW15:

1. What have been your highlights from Fashion Scout AW15 Paris?
The Fashion Scout Paris Showroom has returned for another amazing season in the heart of the Marais. We have had the most exciting season ever, with 22 of the brightest new designers presenting their Autumn Winter collections to leading buyers and press. Particular highlights have included visits by Opening Ceremony from New York and Japan, Dover Street Market, LVMH talent scouts and Sara Maino from Italian Vogue. Our designers have been so pleased by the attendance and many have already placed orders!

2. Why do you think it’s important for Fashion Scout to have a presence in both LFW and PFW?
Fashion Scout is the leading international showcase, scouting, nurturing and presenting industry selected designers from around the globe. Fashion Scout London is the largest independent event during London Fashion Week and so we are visited by over 12,000 Industry, Press and Celebrities - which gives great coverage for the designers. Fashion Scout Paris is more focused on meeting buyers and selling the collection to stores, so doing both events gives designers the best of both.

3. As the home of couture, do you think Paris is viewed in a different light to L/M/NYFW?
Paris has traditionally been about larger, more established designers and houses, with London being the home of new talent. Fashion Scout Paris is changing this now, bringing our strong emerging designers to Paris and creating the only truly international platform for talent in both cities.

4. Do you see Fashion Scout expanding into Milan/New York Fashion Weeks?
Fashion Scout's independence means that we are not tied down by a fashion week location, bringing the designers we scout to both London, Paris and Kiev - Fashion Scout is global and will continue to expand.

5. Can you tell us anything about next seasons Fashion Scout Paris, or will we have to wait and see?

Fashion Scout will continue to be the first to discover fresh new talent and present this in both London and Paris. We are already looking forward to SS16 with the return of our leading designers and the launch of several new industry selected talents.
