Kate Wallis: Harrods´ Graduate Competition Winner

Congratulations Kate!

Just to let everybody know, Kate Wallis, one of our designers from the Graduate Showcase initiative has been announced as winer from the Harrods´s Graduate Competition.

And we feel really proud!

This Year, Vauxhall Fashion Scout launched an exciting new initiative for exceptional talent - the Graduate Showcase.  We Featured a selection of the very best new talent to come out from and around Graduate Fashion Week. The Graduate Showcase featured graduates from Central Saint Martins, London College of Fashion, Royal Academy of Art, Westminster, De Montfort and Kingston Universities. And it was a complete success as a first edition!

We scouted them from Graduate Fashion Week during June 2011 and presented them to the industry and media as the very best during London Fashion Week. And here we go, they are progressing!

The Harrods Graduate Competition 2011, in partnership with the British Fashion Council (BFC), has named Kate Wallis from the University of Westminster as this year's winner. Kate has won a year's paid internship working alongside the Harrods own label buying team on design, development and retail experience. She was chosen after spending a month on a training placement with Harrods, alongside Hannah Cooper and Sarah Seaton-Burridge, graduates from Newport University and The Royal College, respectively. Now in its second year, the graduate competition offers young design talent in the UK a great opportunity to break into the fashion industry.
