NEWS| Peter Pilotto takes part in Westfield's 5th Birthday Collaboration

To celebrate Westfield's five birthday, five acclaimed London Fashion Week designers have designed a capsule collection of sweatshirts exclusively for Westfield London. The collaboration sees Louise Gray, Richard Nicoll, Sophia Webster, Thomas Tait and former Fashion Scout star Peter Pilotto create a one-off sweatshirt that fuses each designer's iconic style with 'Westfield London'.

The limited edition jumpers are £65 each and are on sale from 30th October to 3rd November (or until the sell out - so get one whilst you can!) at Westfield London's Pop-up Shop and all sales proceeds go to Westfield's charity partner Save the Children.

Fashion Scout alumnus Peter Pilotto and his partner Christopher De Vos were interviewed on the opportunity (see video above): “Sweatshirts are the most versatile of garments and having the opportunity to apply a print to a blank canvas, to create an accessible fashion must-have, was exciting. Designing this product exclusively for Westfield London has been great fun and it is fantastic that all proceeds are going directly to Save the Children"

COLLECTION| Peter Pilotto FEB'13

This morning saw Fashion Scout alumni, Peter Pilotto showcase his AW13 collection at the Tate Modern. The Peter Pilotto label conceptualises architectural structure fused with scientific, digitally driven abstract prints, showcased in a spirited palette of hues; and this collection is by no means an exception to the brand aesthetic.

The catwalk demonstrated an eclectic mix of androgynously derived outerwear, embroidered with effluent abstract oriental design, juxtaposition panel, statement shoulder dresses, softened by digital prints and fluted knee length hem lines; with the addition of proclaimed quilted oversized crop and mid-length jackets and coats, printed, of course. Whilst androgyny and structure were definitively key to this collection, the pieces remained elegant and quintessentially feminine throughout.

Colour was diversified through a composition of canary yellow, royal blue, mauve and intense ruby red with monochromatic extracts of black and white; whilst the models wore fresh-faced radiant make-up with slight contouring, not to detract the focus from the luxuriously hedonistic designs.

VAUXHALL FASHION SCOUT ALUMNI| Peter Pilotto S/S13

Being the platform that it is, Vauxhall Fashion Scout have a number of alumni it has truly helped break into the fashion world. One such designer is Peter Pilotto, who showcased his S/S13 collection during London Fashion Week this morning, and graced the catwalk with a modern collection consisting of stylish garments, graphic prints and structured cuts. Combined with the frilly skirt hemlines, bold colour palette and patterning, he produced something somewhat psychedelic.

With a buzz already being created on Twitter and mentions from the likes of Susie Bubble and Vogue, we're looking forward to the positive reviews of his S/S13 collection.

Congratulations to the duo on their latest achievement!
