The Autumn/Winter 2010 collection is separated into two parts, the first being "twenty-three t-shirts", a reference to the family’s lucky number, which follows us everywhere” says the designer's brother Henry. The hand-cut t-shirts are silk screened in rusty brown and navy blocks with hand-cut necklace stencils inspired by tribal Egyptian and African jewellery that create striking, wearable looks.
The other half of the collection is inspired by Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec’s paintings of flamboyant prostitutes leaning against the bar in extravagant ruffles and unapologetic exhibitionism. The heavily constructed silk dresses are hand-dyed inky blues, fierce oranges, and canary yellows on a cream base, crimped to imitate Japanese origami and botanical drawings.
