FAD - Fashion Awareness Direct

Having worked for over ten years to support and nurture young design talent, Fashion Awareness Direct [FAD] are continuing to exhibit with Vauxhall Fashion Scout this coming season.

Set up as a creative charity, FAD works to provide 13-25 year olds with a realistic insight into the fashion industry by hosting high-profile industry days, creative workshops, and catwalk events.

Working in conjunction with the industry’s most-respected figures, FAD works on ‘Creating Futures through Fashion’ by bridging the gap between education and industry by partnering with world-renowned labels, such as Paul Smith and Missoni, and influential insiders, Hilary Alexander and Paul Costelloe.

After providing “an undeniable springboard” [Vogue] for over 5000 young people, the charity has encouraged and inspired intelligent design and individual expression that has led to their students being featured in national publications, such as The Independent Magazine’, The Telegraph, The Guardian and online at Vogue.com.

This year FAD will be celebrating their 10 year anniversary of supporting over 8,000 creative young talents in pure Fashion Week style- with a Gala Catwalk show. Over the years- FAD has supported emerging talent in the industry including Rebecca Thomson from the Royal College of Art, Katie Pope- now an established designer as one half of Harnett Pope and Rasa Abramaviciute, who is now part of the design team at Vivienne Westwood.

Show your support for fashion’s future by attending the FAD show at the Freemasons Hall on Tuesday 21st at 19.30. For your ticket head over to FAD's website or click here.
