SPONSOR| TONI&GUY; Effortless Ponytail's at Heohwan Simulation

Yesterday saw last season's Merit Award Winner Heohwan Simulation take to the catwalk once again to showcase his hotly anticipated collection for A/W13. TONI&GUY were on hand once again- the backstage teams worked with the designer to create a bespoke look for the catwalk, and for this show- less was definitely more.

With a low ponytail at the curve of the neck, the hair was effortless-chic with lose tendrils gently shaping the face, giving a fresh, simplistic look to a beautifully crafted collection. The slight-off centre parting made the look seem almost 'girl-next-door' with it's ease and carefree aesthetic.

A prominent trend on the catwalk, we look forward to seeing more from TONI&GUY and a new look for A/W13.

SPONSOR| TONI&GUY Backstage at Fam Irvoll

It was one giant 90's throwback at Fam Irvoll, with a bold lip and straight-edged eye- the look was almost Ghetto-chic. Bright colours and clashing print reflected the attitude of the models as they swaggered down the catwalk.

The TONI&GUY was a collective mix of current trends; the re-occuring middle split-parting for the girls was back again, having been seen on the catwalk with names such as Giles, Antonio Beradi and Christopher Kane; this time with a 90's twist as it shaped the face with an extended side fringe.

Hats were worn by most, yet no 90's homage would be complete without the presence of corn-rows.. tight to the head mini-plaits could be seen, sending us back to a time of 90's rappers and forgotten boy band's. And then of course, there was the amazing giant afro..

Using their own Label M products, the TONI&GUY Team have been working around the clock to produce amazing looks on the catwalk- and going back in time to the 90's was done in style. The Fashion Scout blog will be producing exclusive content all day, but make sure you check out the TONI&GUY website here for all the info on their work at Fashion Scout and London Fashion Week.

SPONSOR| TONI&GUY Backstage: Trend Alert - The Only Way is Up!

We're well into our fourth day at Fashion Scout and with over half the shows done, we are beginning to see trends emerging for A/W13- and when it comes to the hair, the only is UP!

As seen at Phoebe English, Pam Hogg, Apu Jan and Bernard Chandran- the TONI&GUY team have created tight and twisted buns with a slight Oriental theme; Fashion Scout caught up with Indira Schauwecker, TONI&GUY’s 2012 Avant Garde Hairdresser of the Year backstage to chat about the hair concept for the prestigious Pam Hogg AW13 Catwalk show:

‘Focusing around the concept ‘I’m in her head’, Pam’s inspiration for the AW Collection is kept discretely exclusive, however the hair mainly worked around Pam’s extravagant head pieces. With regards to trends, Asian influence has inspired hair styles across fashion week, a conceptual move from high buns and loops to loops at the crown of the head can be noted’.

Keep up-to-date with all the latest from TONI&GUY backstage and the trends from Fashion Scout with the Fashion Scout blog, as well as @toniandguyuk and @FashionScout on Twitter.

SPONSOR| Toni & Guy Hair Trend for A/W13

Toni & Guy have been with Fashion Scout for season upon season and A/W13 is proving to be one of the best yet. We at Fashion Scout have been dipping in and out of backstage, Front of House, the catwalk- bringing you exclusive imagery and all the action from behind-the-scenes.

An emerging trend emerging from our Toni & Guy stylists is the that of the fresh, bare face- no fringes please! The swept-back fringe leaves the face bare and pure- whether it be to the side, down the middle; hair up, hair down, it doesn't matter what the style is- so long as the fringe is back.

As seen here with our backstage sneak-peak shots, this trend graced the catwalk with Timur Kim, Nova Chiu and Merit Award Winner Yifang Wan the Toni & Guy team have created one hot trend for 2013.

SPONSOR| Toni & Guy Trend Alert: Fashion Scout Day One

This season at Fashion Scout, Toni & Guy have demonstrated their conceptual creativity, trademark innovation and exquisite craftsmanship across the board, remaining the true masters, at the forefront of hair design.

With the exception of the Belle Sauvage catwalk where hair was utterly stylish yet undeniably avante gard; across the board it appears that less is more. Toni & Guy have created a plethora of simplistic masterpieces, comprising loose low ponytails secured at the nape of the neck and insouciant care-free waves, whilst long locks have been invisibly pinned off the face, to personify effortless chic.

Aside from these styles, the 60’s era has significantly inspired the team, think Bridgette Bardot-esq beehives, subtly dubbed down for everyday wear and volume; these two elements are most definitely set to be the key factor in keeping on trend this AW13.

TRENDS| Hair Trends for S/S13 with Toni & Guy

Over the past three days, long-term sponsors of Vauxhall Fashion Scout, Toni & Guy, have worked their magic, sculpting a diverse selection of hair looks to compliment the Spring/Summer 13 collections of VFS designers.
Already, strong hair trends are emerging. Centre partings appear a leading trend. Catwalk shows from Phoebe English, Raffaele Ascione, Yifang Wan and Timur Kur (to name a few) displayed symmetrical, definite centre partings for both loose and tied up hair.
Playful up-dos inspired from past eras, ranging from the 1920s, 50s, and 60s were also rife amongst Spring/Summer 13 collections. With Miuccia Prada creating costumes for Baz Lurhmann’s film adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s The Great Gatsby due to hit our screens next year, it is certain that the style of the roaring twenties is set to conquest next year. Toni & Guy stylists pre-empt this trend for the Spijkers en Spijkers show by working a “twisted-Gatsby” look. Teased waves were drawn back into a half ponytail/half chignon and finished with a string-thin 20s hairband. Endless backcombing took place for a 50s feel at Fam Irvoll and a sixties inspired Bardot-look was created for the Ekaterina Kukhareva show.
To stay ahead, keep partings central and embrace tied up styles with a retro edge.
