Print specialist Hermione has gained a high profile reputation for her lingerie inspired, delicate and whimsical designs. Today in the grand Vestibule, Vauxhall Fashion Scout presented the new collection, ‘Flora’s Illuminate’, which included her anticipated silky touch with a new tougher bite.
The sultry beats of Caribou began - a musical equivalent to Hermione's sensual, romantic and at times erotic creations. Then, models stormed the runway in gorgeous flowery pieces, high shoes and contrasting coloured ankle socks. Dreamy knee length shirt dresses, gathered animal print style designs in muted tones and sophisticated dark flared trousers created a sexy but innocent appeal. Intricate sheer pieces were juxtaposed by slashed outfits in stark monochrome and raw-edge seams. A pretty silk tube dress was modernised by an eccentric frayed dark denim collar channeling a hippie vibe.
Black woolen mesh was inserted under some looks, as a t-shirt effect or on the chest giving the collection provocative impact. Flyaway strands of mohair were caught in the wind, trailing behind striking silk lined jackets. With oversized sheer shirts and transparent capes thrown over floral printed high rise pants, the outfits reflected the sexual awakening of Flora, goddess of flowers.
After such an alluring and heavily metaphorical display, I for one await Hermione’s next offering in heightened anticipation.
