LFW Day 4 - A La Disposition Catwalk Review

Gathering, ruffling, pinking and layering were all key details at A’ La Disposition this afternoon providing an ‘edge’ to staple pencil skirts, tapered trousers and tailed tux jackets. Puffed shoulders and high structured collars (styles which we have seen at many a-show this season) were also present, effectively exaggerating the natural silhouette. The collection took inspiration from different birds of prey which was evident through layered skirts and caped shoulders both representative of closed wings as well as interesting talon–like detailing on heeled footwear. A striking colour palette of peacock green, vibrant orange and rich maroon was featured on light silks, taffeta and chiffon, successfully contrasting against the inclusion of heavy faux furs and chunky black knitwear.
