COLLECTION| Lulu Liu FEB'13

London College of Fashion graduate Lulu Liu brought together her trademark blend of uniqueness and wearability in a selection of luxury fabrics. In lambs leather, wool and silk dresses and separates were elegant, exhibiting simple cuts and clean lines. This allowed for focus on a vivid palette of monochrome, soft beige, ash grey and vibrant red. Silk pieces also featured the designers signature hand-drawn prints, lending an air of romanticism to the collection.

The London based designer was inspired by a surrealist aesthetic this season. "This collection is a continued narrative from a previous collection. It is inspired by clowns costumes." Tailored jackets and elegant dresses were accented with bold waterfall ruffles and a black sheepskin gilet was offset with a white contrast fur collar, striking a balance between accessible and exhilarating.
