There is a beautiful dichotomy going on backstage at Myrza de Muynck. The recent Central St Martins graduate boasts a flawless collection of clean embroidery for Spring/Summer 2013 that continues the trend.Following suit, the make-up is a beautiful smokey The Body Shop mash up that has been inspired in equal parts by Egyptian beauty and - believe it or not - the street style of two girls in Shoreditch. There is a powerful definition to the 'Smokin' Hot Crush'-blended smokey eye, and smudged lashings of Carbon Black eye definer pencil to contribute to the look's slept-in. Using their 'Matte It' primer and moisturising foundation, they have continued the colour to the lips and topped it with 'Pink Crush' eye-shadow and clear gloss to creature a textural pout. For the hair, the play on rough-and-clean was brought to fruition by Toni and Guy. Starting with a clean low ponytail and lots of shine, the upper section of the hair has been pulled and shaken with a blend of Miracle Fiber and Resurrection Dust to offer a slept-in hair aesthetic; a 'run your fingers through and go' look that mimics an undercut. Who knew East London would blend with Egypt this well.Text by Lela LondonPhotography by Rebecca Andrews
