Sabina Bryntesson wowed London with her graduate collection earlier this year, and today - with her Spring/Summer 2013 collection - she is sure to do the same.
Though she cited Norwegian death metal and religious sects as primary inspirations for her last collection, things have taken a much more sedate - almost Mormon - inspiration for Summertime. The Body Shop team have collaborated with Sabina to create a 'no make-up' makeup look that highlights the models' natural beauty. The foundation - a mix of their mineral and oil balancing formulas - has been applied lightly to even out the skin tone and a darker shade of the same formula has been applied to seamlessly contour the skin. No other make-up has been applied except for a light coat of mascara and a soft highlight on the cheekbones and brow bone.
When it comes to hair, the look is just an uncomplicated as the Toni and Guy team wanted to keep it very plain ("unsexual") to compliment the long dresses in the collection. Before styling, hair was prepped with Label M's Volume Mousse and Blowout Spray, then pulled through the shaft by hand. Because each model will be wearing a hat, the hair is completely flat at the top of the head but pulled into a low, loose and rough ponytail that has been wrapped with side sections of hair to hide the elastic and create interest. For such a striking floor-length collection, they have hit the beauty mark on the head.
