SPONSOR| Make-up Trends for S/S13 with The Body Shop UK



Ongoing official make-up sponsor for Vauxhall Fashion Scout The Body Shop have been working non-stop with total precision and perfection here at The Freemason's Hall, creating some stunning looks that have matched every collection supremely. Led once again by Professional National Makeup Awards Winner 2011, Lan Nguyen, her team have been busily working away to create looks to impress the audience of industry professionals and fashion elite at every show.

This season, the attention has definitely been on the eyes. Bold lip colour has not made too much of an appearance with many of the designers, in coherence with the make-up artists, opting for a fairly natural and not heavy look. The 1950s flick has been popular for many collections, with just a simple sweep of eyeliner creating a classic, sophisticated look. The smoky eye has made an appearance but perhaps not in it's former popularity, with many designers choosing fresher tones for the eyes from taupes and bronzes to neon brights in the collection from Ekaterina Kukhareva.

The make-up has fairly often been kept fresh and minimalistic, the Natural look being a popular option that has allowed the designs to speak for themselves. This has been enhanced by interesting features that have included a sweeping black line across the forehead for House of Evolution and drawn-on glasses for Bernard Chandran. It is nice to see the models being kept fair fresh-faced and promoting a lighter make-up look.
