Today Fashion Scout welcomed back Belle Sauvage to Freemasons' Hall. For years the duo have delivered collections that embody a complete picture of a modern, sophisticated yet very feminine woman. Virginia Ferreira and Chris Neuman have created a name for their statement pieces that present avant-garde silhouettes and original signature prints.
Backstage, as the Belle Sauvage pair
and their team prepare for their AW14 show, each
model is being made up with a team of five hair and make up stylists
per girl. The Toni & Guy hair stylists are furiously combing back hair
in order to create a sleek hairstyle, and the pressure is on after
AW13’s dip dye fringes we all loved.
Beauty appears to be a key concept in
this Autumn/ Winter collection. The signature prints are back with a
bang with large red and black lipsticks infused with gold chains
adding an urban feel to this seasons work. The rails display cropped
quilted jackets, leather trims and cinched waists to present a cool
combination of urban-contemporary and sports-lux.
A colour palette of gold black white
and red adds an element of Western opulence whilst the juxtaposing
Eastern attitude is offered through quirky cat characters.
The two designers
are based between London and Luxembourg, but each season they choose
London as their platform- and we are so glad. Everyone is intrigued
to see how the looks will be transformed onto the catwalk today. Good
luck to the Belle Sauvage team.
