COLLECTION | Ones To Watch AW14














Fashion Scout presents a showcase of innovative talent with Ones To Watch featuring AW14 Collections from up and coming designers, Carrie-Ann Stein, George Styler, and Hiroko Nakajima. Always a highly anticipated the show attrcated a wide audience including press and buyers, buzzing with intrigue towards the designers’ new collections.

Opening the showcase with a collection of an intricate use of uncoventional materials and a monochrome colour palette, Irish born designer Sarah Ryan manages to combine themes of the industrial with country charm. The Central Saint Martin’s graduate sent models barefoot down the run way with woven oversized rucksacks for an aesthetic that was raw and authentic.

Carrie-Ann Stein’s unique brand of pastelles placed with neon colours wowed the audience with a collection that featured iconic signs and logos printed on fabric. The London based designer who graduated from Central Saint Martins includes a sense of humour in her work with simple shapes re-imagined into works of art incorporate elements of sportwear with boyish knitwear sillhouettes.

Knitwear designer Hiroko Nakajima’s use of simple lines and geomatric shapes creative a vibe of elegance and quirky appeal. A muted colour palette included accents of bold colour for a luxury look. Graduating with an MA in Fashion from Central Saint Martins the designers signature knitwear style  is one that leaves us intrigued.

Closing the show with a burst of colour and jewelled embellishments, Serbian designer George Styler’s otherworldy vision brings simple shapes to life. Print on print and a luxury mix of fabrics, the collection featured inspirations from across the the world. Specialising in textile design the interesting designer immediately caught the attention of the crowd ending the show on a high note.

Renown for being the place to see the very best in innovative and new fashion talent, the platform has become a house hold name strengthening in its presence season after season
