Today sees the SS14 Krystof Strozyna catwalk show at Freemason’s
Hall. Renowned for sharp tailoring, sculptural shapes and oversized jewellery,
Krystof’s shows are most impressive; and from what we have seen so far
backstage, this show is no exception.
We caught up with the Tony&Guy team who were busy wig wrapping
in preparation for the wigs to be fitted and styled. The graphic wigs have a
graduated bob style, with an element of sci-fi, met byb 60’s glamour. the final
look, we are told, will be stylized and exaggerated, with lots of texture,
giving it an almost theatrical feel.
With regards to make-up, make up artist Clare Degraft explained how
the brief involves sun-kissed skin, almost sun burnt – warm and contoured, with
flushed cheeks. Lips remain natural, eyes have a predominant white line,
highlighted with gold, whilst mascara is only used on the top lashes. Clare
created the look using The Body Shop products, including The Body Shop Bronzer
in ‘deep matte’ and the Shimmer Waves palette.
