COLLECTION| YEASHIN SS14

Last season Fashion Scout named her as a One To Watch and recently Selfridges put her in the running as their Bright Young Thing, so clearly there was going to be lot of hype surrounding YEASHIN in the run up to LFW.

With a packed out vestibule full of fans and critics it would have been hard not to feel the pressure on Yeashin Kim to amaze in this show. Luckily, amaze is what she did. Last season Yeashin took influence from 60’s swinging London and this season the collection was a stunning portrayal of medieval England.

A striking assortment of feminine pastels and rich golds presented a feminine and playful collection that is proving to play as YEASHIN’s forte. In true medieval style the garments were graced with pearls, embellishments and tapestry. Frills, peplums, silk and lace created beautiful garments that show YEASHIN’s originality.

From the traditional festive music to the glowing smiles on the model’s faces crowned with barnets- YEASHIN created an archaic atmosphere that is prevalent throughout the collection.

The covetable garments were given a playful touch with short dresses and nude shoes that allowed the models legs to appear sky high.

Yeashin Kim truly embraced the seemingly passé trend and took it on a modern journey.
