The award-winning charity F.A.D (Fashion Awareness Direct) provides a vital platform for aspiring young fashion designers. Through workshops and industry placements, F.A.D helps 13-25 year olds in the transition from education to the fashion industry, focusing on providing a realistic insight.

Vauxhall Fashion Scout were the proud hosts of F.A.D’s 2011 Junior Awards and the Fashion Scout team went to check out the talent of the designers of tomorrow.

The 25 finalists aged 16-19 years old had designed and produced their innovative designs in just five days at an intensive workshop held by the Univeristy of East London. We were duly impressed that they had achieved such professional results in just five days.

Following an exciting catwalk show watched by the finalists, their family, and special industry guests, the winners were announced. The work was judged by our very own Vauxhall Fashion Scout director Martyn Roberts, along with other influential industry insiders.

Sabine’s red black and white hooded dress was a monochrome masterpiece and won her a work placement at George, Asda.
