The Daily Review - Monday

Photography by Lucas Seidenfaden
Monday was a day of contrasts at Vauxhall Fashion Scout.

Commencing the proceedings was the eclectic presentation from the three designers participating in the Ubuntu International Project; colourful knits and animalistic styling from the Toni & Guy team graced the catwalk in a display of South African talent.

The international vibe continued with a double dose of displays from the Fashion Shenzehn designers; Deng Hao and Haiping Xie. Heavily embellished chiffons, slender shapes and oriental gowns graced us with their presence.

In-between the two, Felicities treated us to the very best of their emerging designers. The display veered from gritty London prints to a collaboration between east and west in the form of kimono-esque day to evening pieces.

The day closed with baroque flourish and theatrical couture at Ziad Ghanem. PVC and tulle clashed in an ode to the Polish film Makata Joanna od aniolow (mother Joan of the angels). Who knows what tomorrow will bring?
