Brighton graduate - Ong Oaj
Pairam’s SS14 collection takes inspiration from sports lux fashion fused
with the 1950’s era. In keeping with these influences, both The Body Shop and the Tony&Guy
teams have collaborated with Ong to create the perfect look. Working with a
photograph of Gertie, a character from E.T., The Body Shop’s Lan Nguyen told us
how they wanted to capture the ‘innocence
of Gertie’s flushed pink cheeks, big eyes and red lips’. Working around
these features, Lan created a softly groomed face, with coral contouring and
plump lips. No mascara was worn on the eyes, just a slick of eyebrow gel to
keep the look ultimately youthful.
Over at Tony&Guy, stylist Maria told us how she had created a
look which was smoothed off the face one side, with dramatic height on the
other; with a bounce through the hair making it look young and playful. To do
this she used Label.m Volumising Moose, Label.m Hairspray and the Label.m
resurrection dust.
