Opening Day four of Fashion Scout we saw the Tabernacle Twins show at Freemasons Hall. Royal College of Art graduate Vibe Lundemark ‘s label is defined by a narrative design approach, which centers around the adventures and journeys of the label’s iconic twin characters – The Tabernacle Twins.
Such journeys, we are told, involve quirky foreign landscapes,
fictional creatures and the most surreal of surroundings; and this fantastical
wonderland is evident in each design through playful silhouettes, quirky
compositions and structured shapes.
The SS14 collection ‘Cobra Casablanca’ encompassed complex printed
shift dresses, lace jumpsuits, feminine utility style shirts and psychedelic catsuits.
The heavy focus on print was contrasted by the soft pastel hues of peach and
lilac. Outerwear was street inspired - quilted and dynamic, making quite the
statement. Each look was finished off with a slick of bright coral lipstick,
braided hair and a pair of white Dr Martens.
