Lia Syn was just one of the Ukrainian designers showcasing their collection on both the catwalk and exhibition at Fressmasons’ Hall today. Created in February 2011, the brand Lia Syn was presented in London for the first time with Kiev Fashion Days today
This
designer follows an amorous style. Delving into the history of romanticism she
has brought to us dresses that are highly modest and customary of the
romanticism era. Lia has gone for the minimalistic approach in terms of
silhouette; primarily the garments only highlighted the waist and shoulders
through distended
sleeves and full length dresses.
A pure
and chaste aspect applies to the SS14 collection, as the appealing dresses are
modest. This innocence doesn’t just apply to the shape and fit of the dresses
but also the use of natural fabrics – cotton, silk and wool. Lia Syn’s garments
underline unadulterated and natural beauty.
A subtle palette of browns and creams juxtaposed with snake-skin
belts and platform heels allowed this designer to fuse her collection with
contemporary trends.
Who knows what the next year will bring for
this Eastern-European designer following her debut in London today?
